Introduction
In order to encourage discussions between participants in the Open Food Facts project, we are once again organising two days of getting together, the "Open Food Facts Days", on Saturday 1 - Sunday 2 October in Paris (at the Académie du Climat, 2, Place Baudoyer in Paris 4e (between the Saint-Paul and Hôtel de Ville metro stations)) and by videoconference (link to come).
Saturday will be dedicated to presentations and workshops proposed, presented and led by the participants of the project (contributors, developers, re-users etc.).
The General Assembly of the association will take place on the morning of Sunday 2 October from 10am to 12pm. And the afternoon programme will be free in order to be able to continue the exchanges and reflections on the points identified during the presentations, workshops and the General Assembly.
Registration
We hope you can join us on 1-2 October. Please register for the Open Food Facts Days (free registration) so that we can best organise this event and send you all logistical information.
Mini-grants
Open Food Facts is firstly a community of people. Thanks to our sponsors, we can provide grants to let people from all over the world attend to the Open Food Facts days.
These grants can fund travels and accommodation. Our funds are limited.
Deadline for application: A committee (composed of the board and the permanent team) will select the candidates by the 25 of August.
If you are interested in requesting a mini-grant, please fill out the following form.
Programme
Saturday's agenda is wide open: could you present what you do on Open Food Facts? Would you like to lead a workshop on a particular topic? And conversely, are there any topics you would like others to present? You can send your proposals to contact@openfoodfacts.org, or add them at the end of this page, or share them on Slack (Slack is a discussion space between contributors, sign up to join) in the #journeesoff channel.

We are really looking forward to meeting you in person at the upcoming Open Food Facts Days on the 1st-2nd of October 2022 from 9:15 am at the Académie du Climat (2, Place Baudoyer, 75004 Paris).
In this email, you will find some information worth noting concerning this event and we would greatly appreciate your responses as it helps us to better organise:
1 - Language
Open Food Facts Days will be mainly in English. Some short sequences will be in French (with whispered translation). For those who only speak French, there will always be at least one track in French.
2 - Open programme
If you haven’t already, please get in touch to submit your proposal for a workshop or a lightning talk (approx. 7 min presentation on a topic) on this dedicated event wiki page (see section just above).
3 - Bring chocolate (if you wish)!
Yes, you read that right. If you can, please bring a chocolate bar from your country to display in a fun way the different nationalities that will be present (and to have a nice treat!)
4 - Meals

Join us for a drink or/and dinner right next to the Vincennes Castle at Le Sauvage bistro, 30 Av. de Paris, 94300 Vincennes, from 19:00 o’clock. Please confirm to [[1]] if you will be coming, so she can book accordingly.
Saturday Lunch
The idea is to have a “bring & share” lunch at the venue. So please bring something to share. Plates, cutlery, cups and water fountains will be provided. Therefore, we also recommend you bring a reusable water bottle if you have one.
The closest supermarket is 1 min walk away from the Académie.
Saturday Evening
After the first day, we will go socialise over a drink at the Académie du Climat’s bar “buvette”. Following that we will go dine at a nearby French restaurant Le Trumilou. If you are interested to join, please write to [[2]] so we can book accordingly.
