Introduction
This page presents the elections of the Board of Directors at the Open_Food_Facts_Association_-_General_Meeting_-_2026.

List of candidates

- Alex Bourreau: An Open Food Facts contributor for several years, I am part of the core team that develops and manages the Open Prices project. Being active in both volunteer and professional open-source communities, I have had the opportunity to represent the association and the project on several occasions. I was also CTO and co-director of a similar-sized digital commons association, which taught me a great deal about managing and funding projects like Open Food Facts. I am now running for a seat on the Board of Directors to continue contributing in a very hands-on way. For example, by representing the voice of the contributors/developers who use the Open Food Facts infrastructure on a daily basis. I would also like to contribute to defining the long-term roadmap for the commons, in order to guarantee its resilience in the years to come, given the generally unstable European context for initiatives of general interest.
- Eloïse Prévôt (@Eloïse Prévôt) My name is Eloïse Prévôt, and I am a lecturer in databases at Laval University in Quebec City, Canada. For the past two years, I have been supporting the development of Open Food Facts in Canada with Louis Bastarache, notably by encouraging university students to get involved in innovative projects using Open Food Facts data and by developing entrepreneurial projects around this database to contribute to better nutrition. Before coming to Quebec, I earned an engineering degree in France. Thanks to this experience in both France and Canada, I understand the realities of these two countries, and I believe I can bring this dual perspective to the Board of Directors. I want to become more involved with Open Food Facts to contribute to the development of new projects, strengthen Franco-Canadian ties, and encourage new initiatives that value data.
- Lise Chauvin / Alizarine / jusdekiwi: A contributor for over five years, an experienced scanner, and a member of the Data Quality team, I am committed to continuing my involvement in the OFF project.
- Marianne Gigandet / Jicri: My name is Marianne, I am 24 years old, and I am an urban engineering student specializing in climate risk adaptation. I am particularly interested in the social and environmental issues surrounding food and everything related to cities (waste, including packaging, supply, and logistics). I really like the Open Food Facts project because it is driven by citizens for citizens and defends the right to open data on food products (and products in general). So far, I have mainly participated in the project by presenting Open Food Facts at trade shows, but I would like to get more involved. I would like to help make the project more accessible to new contributors. It can be difficult to find your way around when you first join the association, to participate, or to share your ideas. I would like to continue the dialogue, especially with younger generations, who are facing new challenges related to food and data.
- Marie Fache / Chevalstar: Former board member, committed and dedicated contributor, I don't have programming skills, but I can help with data reliability, guide project development decisions, and share it beyond the community. Transparency, commitment, and collaboration must be our guiding principles.
- Thomas Sauvage / @Thomas Sauvage: Hello! My name is Thomas Sauvage, I'm 23 years old, and I'm a cloud and network engineer. I joined the OFF project a few years ago. For the past year, I've been contributing occasionally to improving the infrastructure. We may have already met at the OFF events or at the Paris International Agricultural Show. I would like to become more involved in the association's governance by joining the Board of Directors. For example, I would like to help pass on the association's values, such as food transparency, to younger generations. Similarly, I think it would be worthwhile to try to attract more student developers to join us.
- Yuri Ivanov (lv: Jurijs Ivanovs) (ivanovlv / Yuri Ivanov LV) [My goal is to introduce Nutri-Score in Latvia and help people make healthier food choices. My project is abcde.lv. I see huge potential for Open Food Facts worldwide, and I hope to help make the project more financially stable.]
