Why it matters
- This allows fulfilling our mission of empowering people with information on their food, and empowers people to create and update the Open Food Facts database
- This ensures autonomy in this mission.
- This is a reference design of how to contribute to Open Food Facts for third party apps
- This forces us to have a stellar SDK which other apps can reuse.
- This forces us to document and improve the API for common use cases.
What we’ve done recently
- We're overhauling the SDK to keep up with the revamped API.
- Things are quiet on the app itself, we have a few major items still waiting for revamp (homepage, search results, search, finishing customisation, product addition flow)

Official apps
New cross platform Flutter app (smooth-app)
- Initial coordination happened at Project Smoothie
- The application is already on Google Play and the Apple App Store as well as F-Droid.
